How are THe rankings calculated?
The Homeless World Cup competition rankings are calculated based on a team’s previous performances at the Homeless World Cup.
Players can only represent their nation once at the Homeless World Cup therefore the rankings are more of a reflection of the management and coaching of the team, rather than players individually.
Nations who are competing at the Homeless World Cup for the first time are entered as wildcards (w) and are unranked in the competition. This is also the case for teams who are represented by a new organisation.
Teams are also ranked on the most recent tournament performance so if a team hasn’t been involved in last year’s tournament, their ranking will reflect this.
Every team at a Homeless World Cup will play the same amount of games and all play on Finals Day.
