UNITED STEP UP TO TOP OF RUNNERS WORLD

Manchester United’s drastic turn of form in the World United 5k League continued for a second week as they found themselves flying from bottom three oblivion to top of the league in the space of a fortnight. Driven purely by supporters registering to run, can United stay the course at this business end of the season?

Corinthians steady recovery continues as they sail from third to second, it must be running season in Brazil! Real Madrid drop from the top to third. Juventus are this week’s big success story, the Old Lady hoisting herself a massive 13 places to end the week in fourth.  Barcelona continue their slide but do just enough to stay in the top five.

Rangers fall to 6th, ahead of Rio’s Flamengo who drop from second to 7th. Liverpool enter the league out of nowhere and end the week in a dizzying height of 8th. Can they mount a champions challenge from here? The Eternal City’s AS Roms seem eternally locked in 9th place ahead of Celtic who drop four to 10th.

Is Spurs season over already? As the only North London team left in the league following Arsenal’s relegation can they muster enough local runners to slow their slide and return to the top half? Swiss sensations FC Basel follow Spurs in 12th ahead of unchanged Inter Miami and Newcastle. The Portuguese Eagles have landed in the Runners League as Benfica fly into 15th ahead of the stagnant Citizens and PSG.

River Plate of Buenos Aires bounce into  the league at 18th followed by Sunderland and West Ham who both fall 8 places to occupy the bottom two spots.

Will one or both be hammered out of the league come next week?
