About Us

About Us

Our street football partners operate in 450 locations, reaching 100,000 homeless people every year. So far, the Homeless World Cup and its partners have impacted the lives of 1 million homeless people around the globe.

We are extremely sad to announce that the Tampere 2020 Homeless World Cup is cancelled. Unfortunately, the risks associated with the widespread virus COVID-19, and the uncertainty in travel restrictions as well as disruption to the activities of our Street Football Partners have led us to this decision.

How We Help

When a homeless person becomes involved in football, they build relationships. Football brings structure, support and a place of belonging. This works as a catalyst for positive change.

The Tournament

Each year, homeless people who were invisible on the streets become heroes on the pitch, standing proud representing their country as their lives are changed forever.
