Reflections from the Mbaracayu Nature Reserve

Sophie Gardiner spent a little over a month on the Mbaracayu Reserve as an intern with Fundacion Paraguaya. Not completely knowing what she was getting into or where she was going, she decided to take the opportunity and ended up having an amazing experience on the reserve with the girls. Here is a short summary of her reflections from her internship.

2010 Team Paraguay Junior Achievement Woman's Team: Students from Mbaracayu

For the 2010 Homeless World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Fundacion Paraguaya's Junior Achievement Program will represent Paraguay with 8 young women from the Education Center in the Mbaracayu National Reserve.

Female Junior Achievement

Throughout the year Team Paraguay will have a selection process for the players in which in addition to the the physical training, practises and theoretical football lessons, the aspiring player will be instructed with the Junior Achievement programs.

Another Big Impact for Paraguay?

All the players in the team have experienced homelessness and poverty and have been helped by Junior Achievement’s soccer programme.
