Malawi
Team Malawi is organised by Education Football Malawi, a project managed from Scotland by two graduates of the Hunter Leadership Program, which identifies and offers a one year scholarship to potential future leaders for Scotland. Education Football Malawi aims to educate young people from Malawi, 16 – 25 years, using football as a catalyst for change. Participants will have the chance to learn basic English, Maths, and health care in a series of academies with street soccer pitches that will be built across the country as well as participating in a nationwide football league. Social enterprise will be at the core skills programme to grow economic opportunity for the benefit of the local community. Final Position: Milan 2009 - 18th; Melbourne 2008 - 41st.
