Ireland reach Quarter Finals of Homeless World Cup

In the concluding day of the second qualifying round of the Homeless World Cup Ireland Beat Germany 12-0 and Lithuania 8-2 to top their group. With a maximum of 15 points. And unbeaten in the tournament r Ireland now qualify for the knock stages of the quarter finals which take place tomorrow Sat.

A long journey to Milan

Once again it is that time of the year. After competing in the Ireland’s big Issue Magazine’s Street League for the past year we have now selected the team that will represent Ireland in the 2009 Homeless World Cup that will take place in Milan, Italy in 2009.

Homeless World Cup 08 player wins Ireland’s - Football for all -International Player of the year

Stephen Coleman First Street League player to win award,

At a star studded event organized by the Football Association of Ireland in The City West Hotel Dublin, Finglas native Stephen Coleman 28 was awarded the accolade Football for All player of the year.
